Overland-G Expedition Cooling Kit

Overview

A complete thermal management package for diesel-converted G-Class builds. The kit addresses every coolant circuit simultaneously: engine coolant, ZF8HP70 transmission fluid (cooling and heating), power steering, air conditioning and intercooler aftercooler — in one integrated specification.

Specification

At the centre of the airflow management is the original Mercedes electric fan, retained for its known characteristics and integrated with a custom PWM controller. The controller adds cold-start mode, an emergency auxiliary signal, a fan disable function for water crossings, and a forced maximum output mode. Under normal operation, the fan follows a predefined temperature curve. The water-to-air intercooler kit integrates as a separate but complementary circuit within the same package.

Integration

Part of the Diesel Drivetrain Kit. Works alongside the Diesel Performance Package — intercooler, turbo and calibration all influence thermal load, so the cooling specification accounts for the performance configuration.
