Overview
Water-to-air charge cooling for the diesel conversion. Unlike a front-mounted air-to-air system, the water circuit keeps intake temperatures stable regardless of vehicle speed or ambient air temperature — and addresses the engine bay packaging constraints of the OM648 inline-six installation in particular.
Integration
Integrates within the Expedition Cooling Kit as a separate but coordinated circuit. Comprises a heat exchanger, circulation pump, purpose-routed coolant pipes and an expansion reservoir. Works alongside the Diesel Performance Package — intercooler and performance calibration are specified together.
