ZF LIFEGUARD 8 is the factory-approved ATF for ZF 8HP automatic transmissions. It provides stable friction characteristics, excellent oxidation resistance, and smooth shifting under high load and wide temperature ranges. Ideal for service refills and full overhauls.

How Much Fluid Do You Need?

Actual volume depends on the transmission variant and service procedure (pan-only service vs. dry/empty unit with torque converter drained).

• Typical service refill (pan & filter change): ~4.5–6.0 L
• Full dry fill (overhaul / empty torque converter): ~8.0–9.0 L

Tip: Buy 6 L for a standard pan & filter service, or 9 L for a full rebuild/dry fill. Always check actual level via the ZF temperature-based fill procedure.

Service Notes

• Follow ZF temperature-based filling (vehicle level, fluid ~30–50 °C, fill until slight overflow at correct temp).
• Replace pan/filter and sealing sleeve as required.
• Do not mix with non-approved fluids.
