BMW M57 Swap Wiring Harness for Standalone Engine Conversion Projects

This simplified BMW M57 swap wiring harness is designed to make it easier to start and operate a BMW M57 engine outside of the original BMW vehicle. It is intended for engine swap, retrofit, off-road, overland and custom conversion projects where the M57 ECU needs to run in a standalone or semi-standalone setup.

The harness is available for BMW M57 D1 engines with DDE4 ECU and BMW M57N engines with DDE5 or DDE6 ECU variants. Because ECU versions and project requirements can differ, compatibility should always be confirmed before ordering.

Important Compatibility Notes

• The analog oil pressure signal is only available on selected ECU versions. On some setups, the oil pressure signal must be taken directly from the engine sensor.
• Original BMW fan control is only supported on certain ECU versions. If your ECU version does not support this function, we recommend using a separate custom PWM fan controller.
• Final wiring configuration depends on the ECU version, engine variant, vehicle platform and project requirements.
