G-Class Dual Battery Electrical Control System

The Overland-G Dual Battery Electrical System Kit manages power distribution and control between starter and auxiliary battery systems in Mercedes G-Class builds.

System Function

This kit defines how energy is distributed, controlled and monitored across the vehicle. It forms the electrical core of the dual battery setup.

System Components

The kit includes the components required to build a structured electrical system:

• Dual battery configuration (AGM type)
• Dual battery relays with monitoring interface
• Fuse blocks and main fusing
• Power distribution units

Power Separation

The system separates engine starting from auxiliary power use. The primary battery is reserved for starting, while the secondary battery supplies onboard equipment.

Power Management

Relay-based control manages charging and isolation between batteries. This allows automatic energy flow depending on vehicle operation.

The system prevents discharge of the starter battery while maintaining continuous power for auxiliary systems.

System Integration

The kit is designed to be installed within the Dual Battery Mounting Box and is part of the Off Grid Dual Battery Power System.

Compatibility

Compatible with Mercedes G-Class platforms W460, W461 and W463 depending on electrical configuration.
