G-Class Expedition Roof Rack Platform

The Overland-G Expedition Roof Rack Platform defines the upper load structure of a Mercedes G-Class prepared for overland travel and expedition use.

Structural Design

The platform is manufactured from aluminum and built around a multi-point mounting system that integrates directly with the vehicle roof. An additional fifth mounting row increases rigidity and distributes load more evenly under dynamic conditions.

This configuration supports stable load handling during off-road driving, long-distance travel and uneven terrain where roof-mounted equipment is exposed to constant movement.

Load Capacity and Stability

The structure is designed to carry expedition equipment while maintaining balance and structural integrity. Load paths are distributed across the mounting points, reducing stress concentration and improving durability over time.

Modular Integration

The platform acts as a base system for external equipment. It supports integration with lighting systems, cargo solutions and overlanding accessories.

For extended setups, the platform can be combined with the Overland-G Roof Rack Expedition Equipment Kit, adding lighting, wiring and additional functionality.

System Integration

This component is part of the complete Overland-G Aluminum Body Armor Kit, where upper, side, front and rear structures are designed to function as one system.

Compatibility

Compatible with Mercedes G-Class platforms W460, W461 and W463. Due to differences in roof configurations and model variations, compatibility should be confirmed before ordering.

Configuration Options
